5 Day Private Ayahuasca Retreat in Costa Rica

A private 5-day ayahuasca retreat with two guided ceremonies, diet preparation, two massages, integration support, and time to rest deeply in nature.

.

Who This Stay Is For

Some people come to ayahuasca feeling that one night may not be enough.

They are not looking for many ceremonies in a large group, but they do feel that their process needs more time — time to arrive properly, enter the first ceremony, rest afterward, listen to what has opened, and then meet the medicine again from a deeper and more familiar place.

This 5-day stay is for adults who feel called to a more spacious ayahuasca experience, held privately and with care.

It may be right for you if you are moving through an important moment in life, carrying emotional weight, seeking clarity, or feeling the need to reconnect with yourself in a more honest and grounded way. Two ceremonies can create a different rhythm than one. The first ceremony may open the process, while the second may allow you to continue, deepen, or meet what is still asking for attention.

This retreat is not built around intensity. It is built around time, preparation, rest, diet, privacy, and support.

You may come alone, as a couple, or with a small private group of close people you already trust. What matters most is that the space gives your process enough room — before the ceremonies, between them, and afterward.

What Is Included

This 5-day retreat is created to give enough time for two ayahuasca ceremonies and the space needed to prepare, rest, and integrate between them.

Your stay includes two guided ayahuasca ceremonies, personal preparation before the first ceremony, diet guidance, and integration support throughout the retreat. The entire property is reserved exclusively for you, so there are no other guests, no open group, and no strangers added to the experience.

Also included:

  • Two guided ayahuasca ceremonies
  • Personal preparation before the retreat
  • Guidance around the ayahuasca diet
  • Integration support throughout the stay
  • Exclusive use of the property
  • Two massages
  • Meals prepared in support of the process
  • Time for rest, silence, and nature
  • Optional walks through nearby pastures
  • Optional waterfall visit
  • Optional horseback riding experience
  • Quiet time at the house and in the garden
  • Optional bonfire evenings
  • Airport pickup available for an additional fee by prior arrangement

The stay can remain very simple, or it can include more time in nature if that feels supportive. Some guests prefer to rest, write, meditate, and stay close to the house. Others may feel supported by walking through the pastures, visiting the waterfall, spending time with the horses, sitting by the fire, or simply being outside between the ceremonies.

Arrival and the First Ceremony

There is no strict hourly program at Lian House.

The retreat has a clear rhythm, but the days are not forced into a rigid schedule. We keep the structure simple enough to feel safe, and open enough to follow what your process needs.

Day 1 — Arrival, Massage, and Preparation

The first day is for landing.

After you arrive, there is time to settle into the house, see the ceremonial cabin, walk around the property, and begin to leave the outside world behind for a while.

A massage is included on this day to help the body release tension before the first ceremony. We also take time to speak about your intention, your current life situation, your preparation, your expectations, and anything that feels important before entering the experience.

This first day helps the retreat begin with more presence, rather than rushing directly into ceremony.

Day 2 — First Ayahuasca Ceremony

The second day is kept focused and uncluttered.

Meals remain simple and supportive. During the day, there is time to rest, sit quietly, be in nature, or speak if something feels important. We do not fill the day with activities. The intention is to let your body and mind prepare in a natural way.

Later, the first ayahuasca ceremony takes place at night in our wooden ceremonial cabin. The space is prepared with candlelight, natural materials, and the sounds of the mountains around us.

After the ceremony, there is no pressure to explain everything immediately. You can rest, stay in silence, or simply allow the experience to settle.

Integration and the Second Ceremony

The space between the two ceremonies is one of the most important parts of the retreat.

This is where the first experience can begin to take shape — not through force or analysis, but through rest, conversation, nature, and time.

Day 3 — Rest, Nature, and Integration

The day after the first ceremony is kept open.

Some people need deep rest. Others feel called to speak, write, walk, cry, laugh, sit in silence, or spend time outside. There is no correct way to integrate.

If it feels supportive, we may walk through the nearby pastures, visit a waterfall, spend time with the horses, sit in the garden, or end the day by the fire. A second massage is also included during the retreat to support the body as the process continues.

This day gives you time to listen to what remains present before entering the second ceremony.

Day 4 — Second Ayahuasca Ceremony

The second ceremony often begins from a different place.

By this point, you know the house, the ceremonial space, the rhythm of the retreat, and the feeling of being held here. There is often more trust, more familiarity, and more ability to enter the experience without needing to control it with the mind.

During the day, we keep the atmosphere calm, simple, and supportive. Later, the second ceremony is held with the same care and attention as the first, allowing the process to continue, deepen, or move in a new direction.

Afterward, there is again time to rest and let the experience settle without pressure.

Day 5 — Reflection and Departure

The final morning is not rushed.

There is time for breakfast, reflection, conversation, and integration before leaving Lian House. This is a moment to notice what feels important after both ceremonies — what has moved, what has become clearer, and what may need care when you return home.

You do not need to leave early or step immediately back into daily life. You can take your time, gather yourself, and depart when you feel ready.
