The Lian House Approach
Every retreat is private, personal, and shaped with care around the people who come here.
Created for a More Personal Process
Our retreats are for people who need privacy, silence, and a more personal kind of support.
They are for those who are not looking for a large retreat filled with strangers, but for a quiet place where they can step away from everyday distractions and focus fully on their own process.
We believe that meaningful inner work often happens in stillness — when there is enough space to feel, reflect, and listen to what is present beneath the surface of daily life.
For this reason, each retreat at Lian House is private and shaped around the person, couple, or small group of friends who comes here.
Alone or With People You Truly Trust
At Lian House, we create retreats only for one person, for couples, or for small private groups of close friends, with a maximum of four guests.
We do not organize mixed groups or ceremonies with strangers. During your stay, there are no random guests sharing the space or taking part in your experience.
We believe this is important because psilocybin and ayahuasca work can bring up very personal emotions, memories, questions, and inner processes. For many people, this kind of experience feels more natural when it happens alone or in the presence of people they already know and trust.
This creates a quieter, safer, and more honest space — without distractions, comparison, or the feeling of being observed by strangers.
The Entire Property Reserved for You
Privacy is one of the foundations of Lian House.
When you come here for a retreat, the entire property is reserved exclusively for your stay. There are no other guests, no shared groups, and no strangers taking part in your experience.
There are also no social media moments here, no interviews, no photos, and no expectation to share your experience publicly. We do not document your stay or turn your personal process into something visible for others.
This gives you the freedom to move through the retreat at your own pace. You can rest, speak, cry, laugh, sit in silence, walk through the garden, spend time by the fire, or simply be alone without feeling watched or rushed.
We believe this kind of privacy creates a very different atmosphere. It allows the experience to become more honest, more personal, and more deeply connected to what is happening within you.
At Lian House, privacy is not an extra feature. It is part of the way the retreat is held from beginning to end.
A Retreat Designed Around You
Every person comes to Lian House with their own story, their own experiences, and their own reasons for being here.
Before the retreat, we take time to speak with you and understand what brings you to this moment. We talk about your intention, your current life situation, your previous experience with psilocybin or ayahuasca, your emotional state, your needs, and anything important that may help us support you in a more personal way.
No two retreats are exactly the same. Some people need silence and solitude. Others need conversation, gentle support, time in nature, or space to rest. Some arrive with a clear question, while others come simply knowing that something in their life needs attention.
We do not follow one fixed program for everyone. Instead, we try to understand you as a person and shape your stay around what feels most supportive for your process.
What We Create Around the Ceremony
During multi-day retreats at Lian House, we create a space that supports not only the ceremony itself, but the entire experience of your stay with us.
Depending on the option you choose, your retreat may include one or two psilocybin or ayahuasca ceremonies, preparation before the experience, quiet time to rest, and space for reflection and integration after the ceremony.
Throughout your stay, you can use the space of Lian House, which is reserved exclusively for you or your private group. You can rest in the cabin, spend time in the garden, write, read, meditate, sit by the fire, or simply be in silence.
If it feels supportive for you, we can also take a walk through the nearby pastures, visit a waterfall, arrange a massage, spend time in the Magic Garden, or simply allow the day to move slowly, without hurry or a fixed schedule.

Our Ayahuasca & Psilocybin Retreat Experiences
At Lian House, we create private psilocybin and ayahuasca retreats for individuals, couples, and small groups in Costa Rica. Each stay is shaped around the people who come here — their needs, their intentions, and the pace at which their own process unfolds.
Psilocybin Retreats
Our psilocybin retreats are held privately, with space for silence, preparation, ceremony, rest, and reflection.
Some guests choose a 3-day retreat with one ceremony. Others feel called to a longer 5-day stay with two ceremonies and more time for integration. We also offer a one-night private experience for those who are looking for a shorter, focused ceremony.
Whichever option you choose, the experience remains personal, quiet, and shaped around your own process.
Ayahuasca Retreats
Our private ayahuasca retreats offer a personalized and supportive space for those seeking deeper self-exploration, clarity, and connection.
Every retreat is tailored to the people taking part. We take time to understand your background, intentions, and expectations so the experience can unfold in a way that feels natural, respectful, and aligned with your individual journey.
We offer one-night, three-day, and five-day ayahuasca retreats for individuals, couples, and small private groups of up to four people.
During your stay, the entire property is reserved exclusively for your process. Surrounded by nature, mountain views, and the quiet atmosphere of Lian House, you are free to move at your own pace, without crowds, schedules, or distractions, in a space created for privacy, presence, and meaningful experiences.
